Today Owen finally visited the dentist for the first time. I was a little anxious about this because who really enjoys going to the dentist, let alone a 3-year old who barely stands still long enough for me to brush his teeth? Anyway, the visit went a lot better than expected. There were only two short-lived screams. His dentist, Dr. Mike, does so many things to make it a good experience. Owen got to choose from about 50 movies to watch while they clean his teeth, picked his toothpaste flavor and got to play with all the tools to see what they did before they stuck him in his mouth. The office is also decorated with all kinds of beach murals and surfboards so it is a really cute place. At the end he got a sticker, new toothbrush, tattoo and an airplane from the prize box, so he was very happy. And I was very happy because he didn't have any cavities - yippee!
